A REVERSED CALL GIRL SERVICE

In 2020, the focus on men purchasing sex in Sweden intensified. But despite the big media attention, a crucial perspective remained notably absent – the voices of the exploited women themselves.

To bridge this gap we helped Talita, a Swedish non-profit committed to supporting women in exiting prostitution, to release a reversed Call Girl service.

The phone number, initially resembling a typical call girl service, allows the caller to select from a list of presented names. However, each name connects to a recording of a woman sharing her experiences of living in prostitution. 

Talita's Call Girl service sheds light on the traumas, coercion, and vulnerability that often define the path to prostitution. Each call costs $1/min, with all proceeds directly supporting Talita's daily work.

Making their voice heard.

Following in-depth interviews with six women of diverse nationalities, we distilled their lives into short, poignant narratives that unveil the often hidden realities behind prostitution and sex ads.

All stories come from women who have have participated in Talita's program and are now determined to share their voices.

The campaign attracted attention from all over the world and has given Talita's work a greater place in the public conversation.
